ONLINE Continuing Education Courses

IMPORTANT** The Real Estate Commission has implemented a new rule which states that a licensee shall NOT take a continuing education course that he/she has taken in the past (no repeating courses for credit).

If you are unsure as to whether or not you have taken a course in the past, please verify BEFORE signing up for one of our courses. You may view your previously completed CE courses by visiting the Commission's website at pvl.ehawaii.gov/rece (click on "Online Real Estate Conintuing Education", then click on "My CE Status"). Ethical Real Estate: The NAR Code   (3 credit hours)

This is a brand new course so you have no worries of repeating a course which is prohibited by the Hawaii Real Estate Branch! Ethical Real Estate covers the NAR Code of Ethics and reviews case studies pertaining to the code. Sample scenarios are included as a decision making practice for licensees. This course will insure that real estate professionals have a strong understanding of the National Association of Realtors ® (NAR) Code of Ethics and understand the difference between ethical and unethical behavior.
 

Home Inspection in Real Estate Practice   (3 credit hours)

This is a brand new course so you have no worries of repeating a course which is prohibited by the Hawaii Real Estate Branch! Understand the importance of property inspections and how to advise your clients about the inspection process. Also, learn how to prepare a home for inspection and how to limit your liability during the inspection process.
 

Principles of Commercial Real Estate   (3 credit hours)

This is a brand new course so you have no worries of repeating a course which is prohibited by the Hawaii Real Estate Branch! Understand the different types of commercial real estate including office space, retail space and storage facilities. Additional topics include industrial real estate brokerage, site selection, land development, and the effect of local and regional labor markets on commercial real estate.

 

Qualifying the Buyer Under New Regulations    (3 credit hours)

This course is approved as an elective topic and does not meet the Risk Management course requirement. ProSchools is an approved school and the license number is 98809. This must-have course addresses the fundamental role of real estate agents in the mortgage lending process.

With so many changes affecting the ability of potential homebuyers to obtain loans, it is imperative for real estate agents to understand the complexities of today's market. The course discusses how to qualify buyers, as well as the pitfalls to avoid in that process.

The qualified mortgage (QM) and ability to repay (ATR) rules are also covered, with an in-depth look at how they affect real estate transactions, real estate agents, and clients. Stay ahead of the curve with this dynamic course!
