IMPORTANT** The Real Estate Commission has implemented a new rule which states that a licensee shall NOT take a continuing education course that he/she has taken in the past (no repeating courses for credit). If you are unsure as to whether or not you have taken a course in the past, please verify BEFORE signing up for one of our courses. ANTI-DISCRIMINATION LAWS

Course Description: This course reviews the history and purpose of laws against discrimination. Specific real estate practices of blockbusting, steering and redlining are detailed. In addition, the impact of the Americans with Disabilities Act is highlighted. Finally, how to recognize and guard against predatory lending practices is reviewed. PROFESSIONAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Course Description: Professional property managers attempt to balance the needs of property owners with the needs of tenants. To accomplish this, professional property managers need to understand elements of leasing, rent collection, market dynamics, resident retention and building maintenance functions. You’ll explore these topics for both residential and commercial property management. FINANCIAL RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE

Course Description: There is a dizzying array of financing options available to homebuyers today. Where do you begin? You’ll discover a myriad of options available through FHA, VA and special financing options. Plus, examine a simplified approach to accurately assessing closing costs. This course explores in-depth the appraisal process versus the Competitive Market Analysis approach to determining value for a given property.
